Artist Statement

It seems that this world—or rather, all things within it—are made up of “dots” and “emptiness.”

Countless tiny points drift freely through vast empty space, occasionally encountering one another by chance, joining or parting, and in doing so, forming what we call matter or phenomena. From this perspective, even our own bodies and everyday experiences are nothing more than temporary configurations—“dots on emptiness”—momentary gatherings suspended in a void.

My practice begins with observing these relationships between dots and space, occasionally intervening to weave together a series of “coincidences.”

These dots are, by nature, unruly. Space is wide and unpredictable. And yet, I choose to trust in these accidental meetings and uncertain overlaps, attempting to reveal fragments of meaning within them. This is, in a sense, an experiment—a quiet play enacted upon emptiness itself.

Through slight displacements, gaps, and the physical margins left behind, my own presence too emerges as something porous—something that hovers, lightly, in the void.
